Press Tool Design Engineer – Sheet Metal Forming

We are looking for a skilled Press Tool Design Engineer with experience in designing sheet metal forming tools for mechanical flywheel presses. The candidate should be proficient in Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD, capable of preparing 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and supporting tool assembly, tryouts, and production troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of GD&T, sheet metal forming processes, and tool design principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities
> Design sheet metal forming, blanking, piercing, trimming, and progressive press tools.
>Design tooling for mechanical flywheel presses.
>Create 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
>Prepare assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
>Perform press tonnage, forming force, and spring calculations.
>Select tool steels, guide pillars, bushes, springs, gas springs, and standard components.
>Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
>Support tool assembly, tryouts, and production troubleshooting.
>Coordinate with manufacturing, machining, and quality teams.
>Implement engineering changes and continuous improvements.
