Press Tools Designer

Press Tool Designer (5–7 Years Experience)
Experience:
5–7 years of hands-on experience in press tool design for sheet metal components.
Experience in automotive, appliance, or precision engineering industries is preferred.
Proven experience in designing progressive, compound, transfer, and blanking tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Design press tools for sheet metal parts based on customer drawings and product requirements.
Develop progressive, compound, blanking, piercing, bending, and forming dies.
Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
Conduct strip layout planning and material utilization optimization.
Coordinate with manufacturing, tool room, production, and quality teams during tool development.
Support tool trials, debugging, and design modifications.
Analyze tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and manufacturing standards.
Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and engineering change records.

Siemens NX
AutoCAD
