CNC Turning Programmer & Operator

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

· Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code.

· Develop and modify CNC machining programs and machine macros.

· Set up, operate, and optimize the Ace Micromatic CNC Turning Center.

· Manage tool offsets, work offsets, and process parameters.

· Read and modify machine ladder logic.

· Implement and maintain machine-side software interlocks required for automated machine tending applications.

· Troubleshoot machine alarms, I/O signals, and controller-related issues.

· Install, set up, and qualify cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding systems.

· Conduct first-off inspections and ensure dimensional accuracy of machined components.

· Perform preventive maintenance and routine machine servicing.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

· Maintain machine reliability, process stability, and production uptime.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, process documentation, and setup sheets.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or equivalent technical qualification (minimum requirement).

· Minimum 4 years of experience in CNC turning, programming, and machine operation.

· Proficiency in manual G-code and M-code programming.

· Experience with CNC machine setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.

· Hands-on experience in ladder logic modification and machine macro development.

· Strong understanding of CNC machine controls, I/O systems, and automation interlocks.

· Experience with Ace Micromatic Machines and Fanuc controllers preferred.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
