Design Engineer – Job Description

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D/3D CAD drawings, machine designs, fabrication drawings, and mechanical components. The role will also involve BOM preparation, component design, product development, and coordination with manufacturing teams.

Required Skills & Knowledge
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, fits, and GD&T
Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
Experience/knowledge of BOM preparation and component detailing
Basic understanding of material selection and machining processes
Ability to develop practical and manufacturing-friendly designs
